Hi,

When connecting a "new for X-mas" Kodak camera, the USB conection as
such is recognized by the system but the camera is not mounted, neither
does GNOME offer to start the default camera application.

Here is the info from the kernel log:

usb 6-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 7
usb 6-1: New USB device found, idVendor=040a, idProduct=060b
usb 6-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
usb 6-1: Product: KODAK EASYSHARE C183 Digital Camera
usb 6-1: Manufacturer: Eastman Kodak Company
usb 6-1: SerialNumber: C183 100523977

This is on openSUSE 11.3 32 bit. Anything I can do to get his camera to
work?

Thanks,
Robert

This camera should open fine in f-spot, digikam or gphoto2 commandline though.

Also nautilus and kde kiokamera should detect it.

Can you post the snippet of "lsusb -v"?

Ciao, MArcus
